Rio on Watch atualiza campanhas comunitárias no Rio
In September 2020, the pandemic continued to impact the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. These communities remained on the front lines, facing precarious conditions and a lack of government support in combating the difficulties imposed. Community groups dedicated to supporting residents of the peripheries during this time have reported that donations have decreased since the beginning of the pandemic

A project by REPAM (Red Eclesial Panamazonica) has created a website that, in addition to mapping data on the impact of Covid-19 on the indigenous peoples of the Amazon, has been publishing a series of bulletins to periodically make visible the situation of the indigenous peoples and communities of the Amazon at this time. The Community Image Association, from Belo Horizonte, launched the platform “Periferia Viva: Força-Tarefa Covid-19” (Living Periphery: Covid-19 Task Force), an initiative aimed at bringing together “campaigns, demands and initiatives from those who live in the peripheries, villages, slums and favelas of Belo Horizonte, Greater Belo Horizonte and the interior of Minas Gerais”.
