The Covid-19 Pandemic has created a social emergency of unprecedented proportions while creating enormous obstacles to the organization of civil society in dealing with this emergency. Even so, since March 2020, a massive upsurge of social and political organization has taken place in Brazil. This repository was created to give visibility to these initiatives. Our goal is at the same time to support civil society in the fight against the pandemic as well as to serve as a collection for researchers who study the subject.

The Repository does not comprehensively catalog examples of various types of initiatives: solidarity projects that sought to provide social and health services in the absence of an effective response by the State; political mobilization campaigns aimed at putting pressure on political authorities and society around complaints and alternative proposals on how to fight the pandemic; communication activities that seek to inform society about Covid-19 and fight fake news; knowledge production activities about the pandemic and how to best combat it. We've also included a cross-section drawing attention to the role of digital activism in the pandemic.
